About Endless Runner

Endless runners are the purest score-attack format on the web: the track generates ahead of you, the speed climbs on a timer, and the only question is how long you can keep making correct inputs. There is no winning state, so the opponent is always your own previous run.

Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2 are the two that defined the genre and they play differently. Subway Surfers is lane-based and readable — you can plan two obstacles ahead. Temple Run 2 adds turns and tilt, so you are steering and reacting at the same time. If runs keep ending early, the fix is usually the same one: stop reacting to what is directly ahead and read further down the track.
